Influence of Turbulence Effects on the Runup of Tsunami Waves on the Shore within the Framework of the Navier–Stokes Equations

This paper considers turbulence effects on tsunami runup the shore in simulations using system of three-dimensional Navier–Stokes equations. The propagation and are studied by solving problem a wave propagating nonuniform-bottom pool collapsing with barrier. To solve this problem, we used model, RANS SST (Reynolds-averaged shear stress transport). We compared profiles at different times during propagation, runup, collapse. quantify effects, also forces acting basin bottom. demonstrated that had almost no effect shape way its (except collapse). However, collapse became noticeable could boost flow (increasing pressure force total force) up to 25 percent.
